Honeymoon 101: Packing Perfection

Friday, July 20, 2012

Your guest list is complete, you've finalized your song requests with your DJ, you've confirmed with your florist…But have you given your honeymoon to-do's a second glance?  No need to fret. I offer you this short and sweet list of tropical honeymoon packing necessities to make it quick and easy to head off into post-wedded bliss.  All that's left to do is celebrate your new life together!

1.  A little white dress.  The perfect summer basic, choose a style that is lightweight and airy.  Perfect for evening with the wispiest of high heels, or even as a daytime swim cover-up.

2.  Strappy sandals. You'll probably spend most of your honeymoon with your toes stuck in the sand but when the need for shoes calls (a romantic dinner for two) make sure you have a comfortable, sexy pair of flat sandals to complete your look.

3.  Colorful Jewelry.  Pack a few pieces of bright, bold jewelry (Turquoise? Coral? Jade?) to add a bit of pop to your island-life attire.

4.  Swimsuits.  You'll want to bring at least two: A bikini for lounging poolside and a one-piece for any sporty activities you plan to partake in - think surfing, para-sailing, jet skiing, snorkeling.

5. Camera.  A definite honeymoon necessity to help ensure that each and every special memory is captured!

6.  Sunglasses.  Pack at least two pairs.  Not only so you have a few different looks but also so you have a back-up just in case a pair gets lost or broken.

7.  A floppy hat.  A wide-brimmed woven look is must-have to wear while relaxing by the pool. Your skin will thank you in 20 years. Which brings us to…

8.  Suncare.  You don't want a sunburn to ruin your once-in-a-lifetime adventure.  Stop by one of our cosmetics counters to plan a safe-sun strategy, or checkout our sun solutions online.
