One of the least expensive ways you can freshen up your living space for the highest visual impact is to introduce a few new decorative pillows.  Whether they are matching or an eclectic blend within a color family, pillows are a great way to spice up your color story.  If you make sure that your pillows include elements of your room's overall color palette, they'll also do wonders for tying the room together.

You may have noticed that one of the big trends this season is bold black and white combos. It may seem like a boring combo but going monochrome can make a big impact when done right. I like to go all the way with this trend and stick to black shoes and black, white or silver accessories.
