STOMP Out Bullying™, the leading national anti-bullying and cyber-bullying program for kids and teens is a signature program of Love Our Children USA™, the national nonprofit leaver and ‘go-to’ prevention organization since 1999, fighting all forms of violence and neglect against children in the U.S.
STOMP Out Bullying™ focuses on reducing and preventing bullying, cyber bullying, sexting and other digital abuse, educating against homophobia, racism and hatred, decreasing school absenteeism, and deterring violence in schools, online and in communities across the country. It teaches effective solutions on how to respond to all forms of bullying; as well as educating kids and teens in school and online, providing help for those in need and at risk of suicide, raising awareness, peer mentoring programs in schools, public service announcements by noted celebrities, and social media campaigns. An additional focus educates parents on how to keep their children safe and responsible online.
Every day 1 out of 7 kids and teens are approached online by predators, 1 out of 4 kids are bullied and 9% to 35% of young people say they have been the victim of digital aggression. Over 160,000 kids stay home from school every day for fear of being bullied.
October is National Anti-Bullying month and Blue Shirt Day™ (World Day of Bullying Prevention) is held on Oct. 15 of each year in recognition of anti-bullying. Kids, teens and adults can wear a Blue Shirt in solidarity to STOMP Out Bullying and make bullying prevention heard around the world!
As part of our 2012 Back to School Campaign, the Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. is your exclusive headquarters to get your blue shirts. We invite you to visit us online or in-stores and purchase your blue shirt to support STOMP Out Bullying™ and Blue Shirt Day™.
